Creamy Mushroom and Bacon Wild Rice
- 3 cloves garlic (crushed)
- 3 Tbsp. butter
- 1 small onion (chopped)
- 500g Mushrooms sliced
- ½ cup Bacon Bits
- 3 Chinese Sausage (sliced)
- 2 Tbsp. Oyster Sauce
- 2 Tbsp. Sour Cream
- 4 cups stock/broth
- 2 cups wild rice
- Salt and pepper to taste
Sauté mushrooms with butter in a large pan. Remove and set aside.
Add the onion and allow to cook until soft then add the garlic.
Add the rice and stock then season with salt and pepper.
Allow the rice to cook with the lid ajar until fully cooked. Stir in the sour cream and mushrooms then remove from the heat, cover with a lid and allow to steam for 5 minutes.
Serve hot!
